In April 2024, during a mission related to the poaching of sea turtles in Mayotte, I met Zayad, a Comorian living in an irregular situation. During the day, he volunteers alongside police officers. At night, he patrols the beaches with his team to protect nesting sea turtles. As the patrols continue, Comorian poachers and volunteers blend into the darkness.
